Explaining, in a little pidgin English, why there were "crawl boards" along the hallway - all of the floors are being re-carpet-tiled, over the next few weeks.
Yesterday (11-APR-2011), half of the boards had gone; today, they had all gone (mind, the carpet tiles haven't been laid down yet, so no doubt there will be some pungent carpet adhesive smells in the next week)
I'm proud of the carpet. I bought an end lot of green (literally and environmentally) carpet tiles made from recycled materials and glued down with a low-VOC (meaning non-stinkums) adhesive. But notice the colors aren't uniform. The neat part is, I have almost twice as many tiles as needed, so I can replace them selectively as they get stained or ruined.
